Highbridge Trail- Cascade Valley South-Summit County MetroParks
Of all of the trails I've been visited in the MetroParks, this one has been the worst.
About 5/6 of the trail is basically a gravel road with heavy foliage on either side. There are powerlines overhead the whole way. You don't feel like you're in nature, you don't get much of a workout, and it just isn't very enjoyable. On top of that, it doesn't go in a circle, so once you get to the end, you have to turn around and go back the way you came.
Most of the trail looks like this:
Highpoints:
-I saw the brightest brilliant blue little bird I've ever seen.
-some nice sounds of flowing water and birds.
-Walking under this giant bridge was kind of fun:
Low points:
-Not much of a hike
-Not much of a workout
-Boring
-Unattractive
Overall: there are plenty of other great trails in the MetroParks. Pick another.
